FAQ - Artificial Grass And Turf

Is Fitting Artificial Turf Easy?
Fitting artificial turf is easy as long as you take your time, we can give detailed assistance over the phone or we can offer a turf fitting service.

What about the size and shape of my garden?
The artificial grass comes in 2m & 4m width rolls and as long as you require, it is your responsibility to measure your garden and calculate what width and length is required.

Does water drain through?
Yes water drains through the grass via holes in the latex backing.

Do I need a sub-base and if so what should I use?
A sub-base is essential and the most important part of the installation, if you have a garden that is free draining and has very little use in the winter then 35mm of Sharp Sand can be used, however if your garden does become boggy and you have pets and children using it then we strongly recommend a firm sub-base, an ideal material to use is Type 1 road stone screaded with Sharp Sand. The artificial grass can also be laid on timber or any other hard substrate.

Do I need to do any maintenance?
The only maintenance required is the removal of debris, this can be done by using a leaf blower or a stiff brush.

Where can the grass be used?
Lawns, patio's, roof top gardens, terraces, children's play areas, around swimming pools and hot tubs, inside and around conservatories, exhibitions, film sets and shows.

Is it ok for Pets?
All of our grass is pet friendly.

What happens with dog mess?
As with any lawn, large pieces should be scooped up, any remaining small particles will wash through the Latex backing.
